Business summary
Utilization of clean energy is a first step towards realizing a sustainable society. AFC is making efforts in the Renewable Energy Business, utilizing the rooftops of facilities in and outside the airport as well as idle land. The company first installed a solar power generation plant in Narita City, Chiba Prefecture in 2013. Since then, power generation facilities have been installed on the rooftop of a hangar in Kagoshima Airport, on idle land in Mizunami City, Gifu Prefecture, and on the rooftop of a logistics building in Ota-ku, Tokyo, and became able to generate about 5.2 million kWh a year, equivalent to electricity consumption for about 1,370 households. In December 2020, photovoltaic a power generation panel was installed on the rooftop of a cargo facility in Haneda Airport, generating 1,195,000 kWh a year. Electricity generated is self-consumed within the airport, realizing energy production for local consumption. We will continuously contribute to achieving the SDGs through the utilization of renewable energy.
Introduction of business
Installing megawatt-class photovoltaic power generation facility in Haneda Airport
Megawatt-class photovoltaic power generation panels are installed in the
domestic cargo terminal of our company.
We are introducing clean energy by generating
electricity equivalent to the consumption of 270 households annually, and self-consume the
electricity generated within the area.
A photovoltaic power generation facility owned by our company annually generates electricity equivalent to about 3,100t emission of CO2 in total. We will continuously contribute to the reduction of CO2 emission through investment in renewable energy.
